Home Education Groups

As a user-led organisation we’ve had an increase in enquiries regarding providing informal and creative activities for home-schooled children and young people. We believe it’s important for children and young people to have access to this type of provision as well as opportunities to meet other like-minded people.

Using our skills and experience working with children and young people we are aiming to provide groups on a Wednesday and Friday. The groups will offer informal, creative learning which will be guided by our steering group of parents/carers who home educate. We will also invite the children and young people to have their say as part of the steering group.  In general, we hope to provide activities such as creative writing, arts and crafts, singing and music. Science, nature, dance, drama and tutoring may also be possibilities dependent on the in-house skills of our team and volunteers and what is requested by the steering group.

This is a new, exciting provision we hope to offer on a long-term basis.
